Carry out Image transformations with Editmode

Hey folks!

We've created a detailed documentation for how to carry out Image transformations using Editmode. It is now possible to Crop, Resize, and apply effects like blur and grayscale to an image. Check out the complete image transformation guide hereΒ to find out all the possible ways to manipulate an image along with directions.

πŸ‘‹ Welcome To The Editmode Community

Hi there!

I'm Tony, founder & CEO of Editmode.

There's nothing worse than using a new library or technology, and getting stuck because there are no online resources related to your specific problem. Google - 0 results. Stack Overflow - 0 results. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

It's very disheartening, and it's one of the reasons we're investing in the Editmode community early on. We've already designed Editmode to be as beginner-friendly as possible, but we know we'll never foresee all of the ways people can get stuck. So we'd like this to be a place that people find what they need to get unstuck, and if they can't, that they can get immediate help and support from us or the community.

The second reason we're investing in community is that we want Editmode to be a human-centred company. From our perspective, being close to our customers helps us to build the right things, in the right way. And from our customers' perspective, seeing the humans behind the product helps to build the trust required to commit to using a product like ours.

We love hearing from people - whether you're a curious observer, potential partner, or happy customer. Please drop by and Say Hi.

You can also
  • Ask us about your potential use case in our Q&A Space.
  • Check out our How To or Case Studies spaces to see how people are using Editmode in the wild.
  • Show us what you've built yourself in our Showcase space.

We're looking forward to getting to know you all and seeing what you build.Β

See you around! ✌️

Introducing Collections!

A common use case when managing content, is to group objects with the same attributes. In Editmode, we have launched a feature that enables this. We have called it 'collections'.

Chunks that are not part of a collection will only have a single "content" field. Chunks that are part of a collection will take all of the fields you've defined in that collection.
ο»ΏIn simple words, Editmode can now combine different text units and images into a single unit called a collection. Collections can be useful when a combination of text and images repeats in the same format (e.g. - Testimonials) You can change individual entities in the collection or add a new one in the exact same format.

A new collection item can be added by hitting the '+' icon at the top of an existing collection.

An illustrative example of using collections for the testimonials sections inside a basecamp clone can be seen below.
